Hi, I’m Lisa, the founder of Perth Local.
I’m a photographer, foodie and proud Perth local who’s spent more than 22 years exploring this incredible corner of the world. Even after all this time, I’m still amazed by how many hidden gems, new openings and unforgettable experiences there are waiting to be discovered.
Perth Local began in 2021 with a simple idea: to help people make the most of where they live (or the place they’re visiting). What started as a personal travel account has grown into one of Western Australia’s leading food and lifestyle platforms, inspiring an engaged community of more than 225,000 people across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
What you’ll find here isn’t an endless list of every venue or attraction in WA. I believe great recommendations are earned, not given. That’s why I’m selective about the places and experiences I feature, choosing destinations that deliver great food, genuine hospitality and memorable experiences. My goal has always been simple: if it’s on Perth Local, it’s somewhere I’d happily recommend to my own friends and family.
Every photo you see is captured by me, while our video content is created by both myself and my husband, Phillip, who also brings our stories to life with stunning drone footage. Together, we love showcasing the beauty, character and diversity of Western Australia - from award-winning restaurants and cosy cafés to spectacular coastlines, country towns and unforgettable regional adventures.

I want to express my utmost gratitude for the incredible exposure we've received since you shared a reel for Skating Goose Farm Stay on Perth Local. In one day, we had 1.9K visits to our website… I thought it might crash!! And since then the traffic has been overwhelming.
